Good for
Separate chapters, handouts, scans and selected page ranges into smaller PDF files without uploading the source document.
Limits
PDF files are limited to 25 MB and 500 pages, with up to 100 output files, 500 copied pages and 100 MB of output in total. Encrypted or damaged PDFs are rejected; interactive form fields, document-level metadata, bookmarks, attachments and digital signatures are not preserved.
Split a PDF into the files you need
Choose a fixed number of pages per output, or enter one page selection per line. Each selection creates a separate PDF, so you can keep a chapter together or extract a few non-adjacent pages.
How to use
- Choose a PDF and check the page count.
- Choose the split mode. For custom selections, enter one output selection per line using page numbers and ranges.
- Split the document, then download and check each output PDF.
Common questions
What happens when the last group has fewer pages?
It becomes a shorter final PDF. Splitting a five-page document every two pages produces groups of two, two and one page.
What are the file and output limits?
The input is limited to 25 MB and 500 pages. A run can produce at most 100 PDFs, copy at most 500 pages in total and generate at most 100 MB across the outputs.
Does splitting preserve forms and document-level features?
No. Interactive form fields and document-level features are not preserved. Review the downloaded pages and keep the original document when forms, bookmarks or signatures matter.
